We love taking the short drive up Millcreek Canyon for campfires with friends. Hot dogs taste better cooked over the fire, and s'mores just hit the spot, fires have definitely become a summer staple for us.

At one point, as we sat around the fire, a high pitched ringing/screeching type noise went off. The four of us looked around worriedly, no one was really around our little area. It was a scary moment until I realized it was something burning up in the fire. I should've kept my mouth shut and let everyone freak out just a little bit more. I admit aliens did run across my mind for a minute when we heard the strange noise.
We had great conversation, but unfortunately we had to leave before we wanted to since we ran out of firewood. It's slim pickens finding some good wood this late into summer. But at least we didn't get locked in this time!
