Curling with KAA

Curling with the Kassing Andrews Crew. Seriously such an awesome sport to try... who woulda thought?
Yesterday we had a team building activity at work. It's sorta an odd sport but definitely a must try!

First up next I go, I will definitely be wearing thick thick THICK wool socks and some solid thick shoes.
My feet went absolutely numb about an hour into and I about cried when my feet were thawing, it hurt so bad.

There's a TON more skill involved with curling than you'd think! It was sooo fun though pushing off the block and letting one go.
Sweeping was fun too, but definitely a work out haha.... and also hard to keep your balance on the ice!

Curling is a bit like shuffleboard where you want the stone to hit a certain target. Aim, sweeping(to make the stone go faster and farther), and a good send off all get taken into consideration when you are sending one off.

Even though our team lost, we had so much fun, and I can't wait to get back out there!

Moab & more

Catchin' up a bit for now.

Workweeks continue to stay so busy. Aaron finally jumped off and is starting up his own financial planning practice. He is busy enrolling some of his clients in 401k's with their company as well as IRA's. I'm proud of him cause I'm not sure I would have as good of a drive as he does!

I had another quick biz trip to Denver. We flew out of SLC at 5 in the AM and then got back to SLC at 11 in the PM. Makes for a long trip. We had a quick meeting and then a looooong day for me since I don't drink and about everyone in Denver does celebrating the Rockies home opener.

Can't believe Aaron and I have lived in Utah for almost our entire lives and we hadn't been to Moab until last week! We are having a retreat for some work clients in Moab this fall and I got lucky and had to check out the facility, restaurants etc and got to bring Aar with me. It was a good quick trip with lots of food, sun and driving.
