Provo City Temple

Just like the rest of the Utah population, Aaron and I drove down to go see the new and improved Provo City Center Temple.

Like any/every temple, it was gorgeous. I love that the church takes into account the history of the area, and they specifically took into account design aspects from the pioneers when they originally built the Provo Tabernacle.

So glad were were able to attend.

Chillin' & Grillin'

February is pushing through, and I absolutely can't wait for trees to start blooming, flowers to bud and snow to melt.

This past week I took another quick business trip to Denver. Denver back in the course 10 hours. This time though we got first class on the trip back. It was great... and I just may be booking more first class flights for us in the future. My favorite thing about flying into Salt Lake is coming in over the mountains and seeing the city all nestled into them. No matter the season, it's always breathtaking.

My Diet Coke game is still going strong. Spence and Lexi left me some Swig on my porch one night. It was my absolute favorite.

Aaron's parents come and visit pretty frequently. It's good to have family since my parents are so far away. They always take us to dinner and let us choose. So far we've chosen some great options. We spent Friday at Benihana's and it reminded me how good it was. I debated straight up drinking their delicious dipping sauce, but opted for drenching all my meat in it instead. I devoured all my food. Cute Aaron had never been to a grill like Benihana's before and he just loved how they cooked the entire meal from start to finish right in front of us. We also had to stop at Cubby's the next day because they do fries RIGHT!

Whenever my in-laws are in town, Mary and I always go shopping with Susanne. This time we took her up to the Park City Outlets. She is shopping for their upcoming mission and found some great pieces.

Valentine's 2016

I was in charge of Valentine's Day this year. I didn't even think to plan an activity, just dinner, and neither of our presents arrived on time. So we were pretty bored over the weekend, but we enjoyed plenty of naps, grocery shopping and spending time together.

The weekend kicked off at my work's Valentine's open house. They recently purchased a new building in Sugarhouse and have decked it out, it's pretty cool.

So we had to show it off. And of course continuing their crazy party ideas threw a Valentine's theme party- complete with a bed in the lobby.

Yep that's most of the staff piled onto the bed.....

There were so many treats... and I loved these :)

Even a kissing booth, told you KAA takes things to the next level.

We spent Valentine's eve at Rodizio with Spencer and Lexi. We stuffed ourselves with all the delicious meat and salad. After dinner Aaron asked what was next. Whoops I didn't think to plan anything afterwards. My next event to plan is our anniversary so I promise I'll do better!

Heart eyes for days.

Time

Time is a funny thing.

Looking back it goes so quickly, but looking forward it takes too long.

I feel like am I always looking forward to Friday, to summer, to vacation, to the next phase in life.

Right now the phase I'm stuck on is the phase where we have lots of money and can travel and have a big house and not worry about finances. Not a bad thing to dream about eh?

But when Aar and I were dating and engaged I couldn't wait til we were married and on our own.... and here we are, married and on our own. Sometimes I think it's pretty boring, but when I really think about it, it's actually pretty great.

This is the only time of our lives where we can really focus on building our careers.

Where we can stay out late and sleep in, without having little kiddos waking us up too early.

Where we can get up and leave to go down south for the weekend and not have to worry about missing things.

Where we can go to the gym everyday after work and not feel guilty about it.

Where we don't have to worry about being in the kitchen and making a meal 3 times a day (Which will be soooo hard to do one day.)

So for now I will try to enjoy the moment...

Even those eeeearly plane rides to Denver for work each month.

Or scrounging around in our cupboards so we can continue to save our money like crazy people.

Because these moments make up my life, our life and it's up to me to make the best of it.

Newest Costco Members

1 week later we finally finished painting our bedroom. It's not perfect.... but it's a million times better then the dingy yellow. We moved our furniture around, which I'm not in love with, buuuut it gives us so much more space, so I guess it'll have to do.

Next project(s) will be painting our dressers, getting a rug, hanging pictures and organizing it all.

I feel like we sure are grown ups now.... we just got a Costco card.

But it's actually pretty great.

Jumbo size Doritos.

Huge pizzas.

Berry smoothies.

Samples.

I have a feeling we may be at Costco every Saturday like the rest of the Utah population.

We spent Saturday night doing just that, wandering the isles and brought home thee biggest pizza and watched a documentary on tigers.

Last night I found the INTJ/ESFP test, and made Aaron take it. Basically him and I are exact opposites. It makes me laugh cause I can see exactly why we disagree.

The test is based on the following traits:

 Introvert (I) or Extravert (E)

Intuition (N) or Sensing (S)

Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)

Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)

Aaron is ESTJ and I am ISFP... it makes me laugh, but somehow we make it work!

Thanks AA

Thanks AA for letting me pick out your outfits... even though sometimes you still wear those shoes I hate.

Thanks AA for taking me to Sushi... even though I spend all our allocated budget.

Thanks AA for helping me paint our yellow bedroom to a more appropriate color... even though I hardly painted.

Thanks AA for you being you, for being happy ALWAYS and looking at life positively.... even when I don't.
