Amsterdam

Our little Babymoon has come and gone. And it was thee best!

Quick highlights of Amsterdam... more to come on Espana!

With the Delta direct from SLC>Amsterdam, we had a 10 hour layover, so we took that time to explore the city.

We got in early while the city was still waking and walked the quiet, cold streets of the capital.

First stop: the stock exchange- DUH! :)

We wandered around the picturesque canals.

Gaped at the thousands of bikes & riders all over the city.

Settled at a small cafe to warm up for brunch.

Visited the IAMSTERDAM sign.

Were intrigued by all the cannabis.

Walked past Anne Frank's house.

Aaron was such a good sport and sweet the whole trip. The first few days- especially in Amsterdam My hips were realllll sore, so I was waddling and walking so slow, and he was so patient.

Quick memories:

*Getting on the wrong train back to the airport, and not realizing it til a half hour later :/

*Stroopwaffels from the airport- the carmel waffley goodness- we devoured them, wish we would have gotten more while actually in the city

*Forgetting how agressive drivers in Europe cities are to pedestrians

Catch-up

Just a little catchup since life has been nonstop.

First things first- I'M PREGNANT.

We found out mid July, and started telling people after we told my parents over a quick Labor Day weekend trip.

The first bit of pregnancy has not been fun.

AT ALL.

Like so nauseated.

All. The. Time.

Throwing up on the way to work.

Not fun stuff.

So July, August and September have been no bueno.

Oh well. It's getting better, but still not much of an appetite.

Anyways, we jetted out to Georgia to announce to my parents in person and went to opening day at Georgia.

Travel for work has been nonstop for me. We've added new clients in Colorado Springs, New Mexico and Nebraska, in addition to our consistent Kentucky and Denver travels.

It gets exhausting but #comptime.

We've been busy with Gus the Photo Bus events and planning nights.

Aaron and I flew in to Scottsdale, AZ for an annual biz meeting, and I ate at Sweet Tomatoes two nights in a row.

This last biz trip I took we went and visited Noah's Ark.

Yep, that's my boss and co-worker standing at the base^. This is the kind of stuff you see in the bible belt, and it was amaaazing.

^This has felt like it's been my view nonstop for the past couple months, but I can't complain, nothing like a plane sunset.

The rest of 2018 will be just as busy.

Aaron is growing and expanding his biz with some great future opportunity's.

Gus continues to expand.

We have a Spain trip booked for Thanksgiving.

Our house is almost done with renovations(phew).

Prepping for Baby girl Pugh.

Holidayzzz.

JULY!

I love July!

Summer is in full force.

100 degree temps.

The 4th and 24th of July.

America.

Snow cones.

...Aaand the list goes on.

I can't believe we're halfway through July. Time has just been flying.

We wrapped up a busy month in June with events for Gus.

And we got thee ~CoOlEsT~ sign. Match that with a mountain sunset and I'm dead.
July has been slower for weddings for us, be we've picked up a ton of corporate events- Vivint, Google and a Life Insurance company. But heck yes, Google!

We had an event mid June at a SUPER pricey event center in Wanship. Well, they loved us so much, they referred Google to us, who is having a retreat there tomorrow. Things are definitely going in the right direction, especially since we got the second bus- Junior!

We continued our 2nd annual trip to Bama for the 4th of July.

It was a really easy, slow, relaxing trip.

We hit up Top Golf, Melting Pot- celebrating the July birthdays, played tons of corn hole(I think we're a hard crew to beat now), had Steel City Pops every. single. day. Red neck river rafted, and had thee most over the top shakes.

Last week, I had a work event in Providence, so I brought Charlotte up with me to revisit our old college stomping grounds. It was hot, but we walked around campus, talked about old friends, gawked at all the new buildings and ate Aggie ice cream of course.

I will forever love Logan.

Other than that, I've been doing the usual work travel + more.
We just picked up 2 new Bi gO groups, with another possible one on the way. Life is getting even busier at KA.

Our scooter finally got fixed! I love riding around with Aaron on that- he does too :)

Our kitchen is almost done! We are just sanding down the drywall. Next step is to paint and do the final seal on the counters.

I moved in the plates, utensils and kitchen items in, that's exciting!
Exciting things happening, and even more coming soon.

Life is good.

The Swiss do it right

Hands down Switzerland has been THEE best trip I have ever been on.

We went non-stop, but had a blast on windy canyon road trips, gorging on fondue and spending time with the family.

This is long overdue, so here it is!

On the drive from Geneva to our Airbnb in Interlaken, we stopped in Gruyeres for the cheese festival.

It was the cutest storybook town ever.

A cute little castle set on a hill with shops, alpenhorns, classic small-town churches, green hills with grazing cows and purple mountains framing the backdrop.

After Gruyeres(props to David for buying fondue and introducing us to Gruyeres cheese!) we drove over to Interlaken.

We had many nights full of fondue from the store, pizza, chicken and of course chocolate.

Monday was spent in Lucerne. My parents assigned each of us to plan a day out in a different city, and one meal for your planning day. It was a blast seeing what everyone had planned.

David planned out Lucerne, and it just may have been my second favorite Swiss city.

The weather was perfect as we weaved through the picturesque town.

We trekked across the famous wooden bridge.

Discovered Laderach... Raspberry chocolate for the win!

Enjoyed a beautiful church all to ourselves.... we thought the kneeling shelves for prayer were footrests... oops!

Climbed the clock tower.

Marveled at the famous rock carved lion.

Each night we drove back to Interlaken to enjoy some evening medicine, games and pass out from all the walking.

Tuesday we went to iconic Matterhorn.

Weather is always a bit "iffy" since moutains that tall are often covered by clouds. We woke up early to take the 3 hour drive to hopefully catch a glimpse.

Through the car tunnel.

Winding through canyons and tall bridges.

On to the train from Zermatt to Tasch.

We sucked it up and spent the 100+ Swiss Francs to take the train up to the perfect viewpoint.

The whole time up at the viewpoint felt unreal.

Our pictures look like a green screen.

The weather was sunny and the sky was blue. We couldn't have gotten a better day!

Wednesday was spent in Zurich. Of course Aaron was in charge this day since that is where the stock exchange is.

After a few quick snap shots of Aar in front of the exchange, we explored the city. Visiting overlooks, churches, eating gyros along the river and visiting.

Thursday was by far thee best day.

Spence and Lexi planned the day in Lauterbrunnen, just a 15 minute drive up the canyon from Interlaken.

Lauterbrunnen is heaven on earth, and I'm convinced that's what the Celestial Kingdom looks like.

Cows were grazing, purple and yellow flowers were blooming, water falls falling, steep canyon walls surrounded us and snow capped mountains stretched for miles.
We took a ridiculous amount of pictures on the 2 mile walk from the parking lot to Trummelbach falls.
But how could you not? PS Happy 4 years to Aaron and I #May10th
At Trummelbach Falls, deep inside the mountain, glacier water carved and blasted through the rock. It was hard to actually capture a picture. But inside mother nature was loud as it gushed through the rock crevices.

After a lunch break in Interlaken, we headed back up to up to the city towering over Interlaken: Wengen.

I so wish we had more time to spend up there. We took a steep half hour train and watched views of grassy knolls, waterfalls and ski slopes.

It was the cutest ski town that I hope to get back to someday.

Later that night we got Chocolate Wasted at the cutest Swiss chocolate making class.

We learned how to temper chocolate, mixing methods and decorated our own Swiss chocolate to take home.

Friday was spent up in Grindelwald, another quick drive from Lauterbrunnen.

More of the stunning Swiss landscape.

We took the gondola to Furst.

Walked on the Cliffwalk and had a picnic lunch up at the top.

Afterwards we headed up to the lookout point for Interlaken.

Lakes, fields and mountains everywhere you look, with the occasional paraglider.

Saturday we trained it back to Paris, ate a very Parisian dinner(with the most amazing french onion soup!)and watched the Eiff sparkle once more.
Sunday, David and my parents headed home, while we went to Disneyland!

Paris Disneyland that is.

Aaron spent the day in Paris with Landon who currently lives in London.

I'm soooo sad he didn't come. It was cold and wet all day, but the lines were super short. We practically walked on almost every ride.

Space Mountain was a blast! And the Ratatouille ride was the cutest.

Hollywood Studios still had the good old Tower of Terror- still so scary.

We raced from park to park and loved the fireworks at the end.

The only disappointment was the food. Now I can see why Europeans are healthier.

They didn't have fun funs on every corner... just the basic popcorn, ice cream and cotton candy with a few burger food courts, that was the only disappointment. But still so glad we went.

The next day we were headed back home after a long but fun 2 weeks- just had to tackle a 27 hours of airports and planes :( from Paris to Zurich to San Fran and then SLC!
