August

Summer has flown by. I have anxiety every day thinking how before we know it, we will be shoveling sidewalks, wearing coats and staying inside.

Literally everyday.

I think I have some sort of complex.

I cringe at the thought of Fall.... and Winter..... and Spring.

Luckily we have 3 great trips coming up this Fall to look forward to.

We are still hard at work at remodeling down in Provo.

Sometimes I feel like it's never going to end. BUT look at this before and after! Not the best picture but you can definitely notice a difference!

That right there is hours of cutting, grouting and measuring tile. Days of sanding and staining. Countless trips to Home Depot and Lowes. Hundreds[maybe thousands] of dollars. Plenty of late nights.

On the off chance we haven't been remodeling, we have been catching dinner at La Caille[work thing- we aren't that swanky], watching BiP going to weddings and hosting showers and visiting the Kamas Kabin of course.
Kimi's bachelorette shower- love that we have a great backyard for get togethers.

^^^Our fishing hole... no luck this time :(
Isn't a trip to the cabin without visiting the medicine store!

For now I will just hold onto as much summer as I can!

Keepin us on our toes

This last week has been crazy... between having Xanni come home, remodeling, chauffeuring my grandparents, delivering dinners and planning a spur of the moment Europe trip, life is keeping us on our toes.

HOME
Xanni is home from her mission in Boston.
I am so proud of her. Out of all our friends, she is the only one of us girls that served a mission.
I am so proud of her.
Loved seeing her at the airport and at her homecoming.
Can't wait to see more of her soon!

EUROPE
All I can say is that I work for great people!
Aaron and I are going to Germany, Austria and Hungary the first week of October.
Lotsa scrambling getting my passport changed to my married name right now.
Also lotsa shopping for fall[traveling] outfits right now....

REMODEL
Going really [slow]good.
The kitchen is looking better and better, and I can't wait to finish so we[mostly Aaron] have more free time.

FAMILY
My grandma had surgery last Friday.
I drove her and my grandpa to the hospital.
She is such an inspiration, acted like it was no big deal and totally calm.
Grandpa and I ate pizza and ice cream and drank Diet Coke while we waited.
Hospital cafeteria's aren't too shabby.

FISHING
Poor Aaron hasn't been fishing in a while due to the remodel.
His little raft and new net have been pretty lonely.
Lucky thing we have a cabin trip planned for the weekend.

Solid Weekend

We are back to the grind on remodeling after a quick break this weekend.

Remodeling takes a lot longer than you actually plan for.

We are thinking of hiring more people to help....

Saturday nights and Sundays are our days off.

We went and saw the new Mission Impossible on the IMAX.

Ate at our new favorite/cheapest/closest sushi place.

Had shakes from Article Circle.

Dinner at gma's.

Bach in Paradise.

Pretty solid weekend.

REmodel

I got a selfie stick!
Thanks to Jake and Mary. SO far it's working pretty well.

In other news..... we are remodeling our other house down in Provo.

Remodeling is draining me. Basically every day is the same and so so tiring.

Wake up go to work... Come home and change... Drive down to Utah County in slooooow rush hour traffic... Check in with our handyman Geoff... Spend 2 hours at Home Depot... Get back to the house and realize we forgot some supplies... Drive back to Home Depot... Yard work//sanding//staining//tiling... Round 3 at Home Depot... Clean up... Get back to SLC around midnight... Wake up and do it all over again...

It's not glamorous. It's not always fun. Aaaand everyday I am so glad Aaron is a hard worker and determined, cause sometimes I'm not.

Praying it will pay off.
