Easter & April

Can't believe Easter has already come and gone. Aaron didn't grow up with many family traditions, and it's rubbing off on me... in a bad way. We hardly celebrated Easter, no baskets or eggs, a little bit of decor, and a couple of bags of candy. Aaand we had hot dogs for Easter dinner. Hahaha... but they were good, on our new grill with all the trimmings, so it wasn't so bad.... and he was happy with his hot dogs and basketball games to watch.
But I definitely need to step up my holiday game!

We went to my grandparent's Easter night and cute Spencer and Lexi did a quick egg hunt for 92 year old Grandpa Jack. It was pretty cute, and then he proceeded to eat all the candy during one sitting!
Tulips are blooming everywhere and I am loving it! Just wish the rain/snow would stop for a minute so we could enjoy being outside a bit more!
We hiked Ensign Peak last weekend. It's seriously one of my favorite hikes!
It's real short, but the view is amaaaazing.
I love Salt Lake so much!

TRAVEL

Happy kids over here because we just booked round trip airfare to Italy for $844!

We are stuck on the traveling train and not sure if we will ever get off.

Aaron used to not be a big fan of traveling but I reeled him in with our first Europe trip, then Peru, and then the recent Australia/Fiji/NZ trip.

Plus... he loves to get pictures of all the stock exchanges.

So when I saw cheap flights to Rome, I called and we booked on a whim. My parents found cheap flights to Paris also and will be meeting us in Italy while we are there for a bit in October.

But for now I'll look forward to the Bahamas next month... aren't we blessed?

Other life happenings...

Obsessed with chocolate covered cinnamon bears... I've eaten about 3 bags full in the past 3 weeks :/

Starting yard work again on our hopeless little yard

Working on events for Gus the Photo Bus

Watching Designated Survivor with Aar

Hello Spring!

Yay for Spring!

It's slowly coming with it's warm sunny days, and it's cold wet days... but at least the trees blossoms stay the same every day! Spring is here in Utah!

We made another quick trip back to Hurricane in early March and I finally made it to the pretty little orchard by my in-laws house in Hurricane!

We went downtown to meet our friends Taylor and Katie for dinner at PF Chang's and gelato at Settabello. They are so fun to be with and we definitely don't see them enough!
I love that Aaron and I work close enough that we catch lunch together every once in a while. Here's him and his little food baby Subway.

Life is good when you have a sis in law that is into photography and loves taking pictures!

^insert embarassed face emoji right here.

J Dawgs opened up just down the street from me... that's straight up trouble. So we went for dinner Saturday night.
We watched Spencer play in his indoor soccer game after and went home early and zonked out watching tv.

The rest of the weekend was spent watching conference, and eating lots of chocolate covered cinnamon bears.

We just booked our airfare to the Bahamas for May.

Are going to Alabama for the 4th of July.

Looking into going to Chicago in September.

Are always looking for good flight deals to Europe.

Aaand we just got a new client in Louisville Kentucky.... so airports are becoming more and more the norm in my life.

Zion Sibling Trip

They day after we got back from NZ, we had a quick day at work, and then headed down to Hurricane to meet my brothers for the weekend.

I can't say it enough but I love love love that Aaron is from Southern Utah! It gives us an excuse to go down in the warmth and red rock, that I wouldn't otherwise do.

David had some time off for Spring Break, so we suggested he come out West and we go to Zion National Park- which is Spence and I's favorite!

Spencer and Lexi were so nice and picked David up at the Vegas airport since airfare was cheaper there.

We woke up in the morning... after going to Bear Paw of course and headed up to Zion.

We heard the day before someone had died falling off of Angel's Landing... so we steered clear of that and went through the tunnel to an easy favorite- the Canyon Overlook Trail.
The view is just about as good as Angel's Landing and a whole lot easier to hike!

The weather was amazing! We took the shuttle up the canyon longer to show David the spine of Angel's Landing and enjoy the tall cliffs and wildlife.

Driving back down the canyon through La Verkin we say the PRETTIEST sunset ever! The purple mountains, red cliffs and colorful sky were amazing... I couldn't keep my eyes off of it and kept commenting about it every other minute haha.

We spent the night in St. George at the Pizza Factory eating plenty of pizza and breadsticks... and of course had to stop by Swig for a cookie on the way home.

The next morning we stopped at McDee's for breakfast... I told them how much I love that none of them are above McDonald's and all were game for going there for breakfast.

My hometown boy sure comes in handy when it comes to small Southern Utah gems. We jetted up to Touquerville Falls after some McDee's.
Touqerville Falls is on the edge of Touquerville and requires an SUV or truck to get there... it's a very very rocky dirt road up to the falls. It's not too long of a path, but with all the rocks, it takes about a half hour.
I think everyone loved it and it was definitely worth the trip.
And Lexi's camera and editing skillz always come in handy! She rocks!
