Bad luck week

Sooo no winnings in Wendover... we all came home losers. Spence had fun though, and Aaron and Taylor stuffed themselves with crab legs. Apparently I am bad luck for Aaron, because before I ever started coming to Wendover with him, he would come back with $200+ dollars, each of the last three times I've been with him he/we have come home negative. Haha he literally shooed me away from the table.

 Attempting to make cookies for Uno/Sushi night. I got a quick "easy" mix of chocolate chip cookies, all I had to do was add butter and water. Well apparently the butter I used was freezer burnt. So the cookies were no bueno. Trying a new recipe this week with fresh butter! [fingers crossed]

Got stuck taking care of two sick boys last night. I got a text from Spence saying he is in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. Poor kid was dehydrated and passed out at Cafe Rio.>>> Flash back to Denver 2 weeks ago when the same thing happened to my boss at the Denver airport. Needless to say this is my second time in the ER this month. The worst of it for Spence is that when he passed out he hit his chin and gashed it open, and chipped some bits of his molars out. 

When we got back from the hospital we headed to my house and poor Aar was lying on the couch miserable with the lights out. He's getting a little bug too. So I've been making lotsa hot chocolate, gatorade, EmergenC and proscribing Ibuprofin and Nyquil. The bad luck from Wendover just carried on into this week. 

Eating//Drinking//Working//Going//Watching//Planning//Frustrated//Saving//Loving

Lately....

Eating.... a WHOLE bag of Doritos for dinner with Aaron, not one but two nights in a row [okay so one bag over two nights, but stillllll]

Drinking.... Swig, SwIg, SWIG! Diet Dr. Pepper Raspberry Dream, easy ice, with a side of cookie. I think I may be getting a little Swigged out.

Working out.... Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred & a little P90x.

Going.... to Wendover tonight, introducing my newly turned 21 year old lil bro Spence to the ghetto gambling scene.

Watching.... Aaron play basketball. He's played his whole life in high school, college, open gyms, pretty much any chance he gets, and it took me a year and a half to finally see his skillz. Now he's playing church ball, which he has a love/hate relationship with. Go #33!

Planning.... in the early talks of planning a European vacation with Aaron! Wahoo! It will be in 2016 so we can save lots and lots of money to do Europe right! It's something I've always wanted to do, it all seems unreal partly due to the fact that it's still forever away. Maybe in the meantime we can go to San Fran or somewhere warmmmmm

Frustrated.... with co-workers.... ugh. And work. I have turned into a complete stress ball. I am constantly thinking about work, morning and night and even dream about it. It has turned my caffeine addiction from bad to worse. The other night as Aaron and I were laying in bed, I started to cry just thinking about work. He tried to give me advice just to let it go, do the best you can, and don't worry. Easier said than done bud, sorry. But I will work on it. 

Saving.... for retirement. I am so glad that Aaron knows his stuff. I am finally coming around and understanding all of Aaron's financial jargon. We only live off one of our paychecks and the other person's paycheck goes straight to tithing and savings. I am so glad we are starting our IRA's young so we will have even more moola the older we get. I am definitely becoming an advocate and recommend saving even a little now because it will be soooo much more later on, with my whole heart I wish everyone would understand that!!!

Happy 2015!

New Years always comes up so quickly, and I feel like I'm always scrambling trying to find something to do! 

This year was no different! Luckily our New Year's celebrations were a blast. 

We started at Blue Lemon for dinner and met Madi, Gavin, Owen, Ryan, Aaron, Jessa and Preston for dinner. 

After dinner we picked up some hot chocolate and cider at 7-11, btw the caramel apple cider at Sev is dee-licious! We grabbed some donuts on the way down to Orem and partied at Jessa and Preston's friends place. We played Liars dice, Bunco and Scum all night. I've never played Bunco before but it was so much fun! 

After all the fun and games in Orem, we met up with Jake and Mary at there place where we fell asleep! I woke up to take them to the airport, those lucky ducks jetted off to Miami for the new year. 

As we were driving the airport we noticed the moon was SUPER big and it was orangey red! It was eerily creepy! Mary and I were freaked out a bit. 

New Years day was spent sleeping in, working out, running errands, watching football and going out to eat. 

So far it's been the best Thursday and Friday of the year :)
