Longest week....

April has been theeee busiest month yet. Dentist appointments. Trip to St. George & Zion. Airport pick ups & drop offs. Werk. Family visiting. House signing & closing. You get it.....

Not complaining because life is great, it's all just pouring on us all at once.

But finally I have time to get back on track and normal after the craziest longest week yet.

Since Grandma V passed away family has been in town all week. Aaron and I signed the papers to our new house in Midvale{yAy!}.
Lucky enough to have good connections with a moving truck- thanks Olsons! Aar drove this truck around like a champ! Shoutout also to our friends who came up from UT Co to help us move! THANKS!!!
First night in the house and soooo dead and ready for bed.....
zzzzzzzzz

With family in town I was trying to balance work and family time. It was rough since it was a heavy work week, full of new proposals, meetings and the usual. That meant going into work early, working through lunch and leaving a little bit early.

The previous owners left the home in pretty good shape, but the wood floors are a little dusty and leave our feet coated in gray. I've been stressing about cleaning it up real good, but can't since we have boxes e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e.

Someone's teaching me a lesson that I need to just chill for a bit.

My family has been great hanging out in our half put together house, playing games with us and trying to help, even though I know it's hard to help when I need to be the one to put the kitchen together and what not.

In between all the moving we've been deep cleaning our old basement apartment.
Attacking the hard to reach grime.... don't mind me.

Funerals always remind me how blessed we are to be members of the Church, and a great reminder about the plan of salvation. I know Grandma V is with Grandpa once again. She is young, happy and already a great missionary teaching and serving others.

It is bittersweet, but I am so happy for her.

[Side note] Right after the final family prayer in the viewing room, we walked by to see the casket one more time before they closed it. It was obviously an emotional time, very quiet and tearful. During that time, one of my cousin's little kids said very loudly and clearly "there's a bunch of cry babies in here!"

Some laughter definitely erupted haha but a very SMH moment.
It was forecasted to rain all week, but the weather was calm and pleasant!
So grateful for these people right here!

We ended the weekend visiting with friends in Spanish Fork and then stopped by to be with family and play games and have dessert. I didn't even know Aaron caught this pic with me and sweet little Eden.

So glad to have made it through the past week, bring on this week!

Homeowners

This week has been the longest week ever. I'm trying so hard not to become a stressball.

We have family in town.

My grandma passed away.

Aaron and I have been staying at the Radisson downtown since he had a work conference there. Not helping us expedite the moving process.

Packing.

Cleaning.

Moving.

Work projects galore.

Oh and we bought a house. Official homeowners over here.
We signed the papers on Tuesday. 50+ signatures later we got a house. Plus I'm getting more used to signing my name as Madeleine Pugh.

I loved having my family walk through our new house with us! It was fun to have more excitement there besides just Aar and I.

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Fest. Bad idea right after you purchase a house. I've got all sorts of stress building up about cleaning the yard and landscaping it....
 Prettiest place ever.

So good to have all the family together again, even though it's under sad circumstances.

After TP, we had dinner at Cubby's in Lehi. It was delish, they have the yummiest flavored bbq bleu cheese and sweet potato fries and red creme soda... yes, yes, YES!

I am already stressing about moving tonight. Off to get a mop and cleaning supplies on my lunch break cause that's where I'm at in my life.

Forever Families

Today is a happy and sad day all at once.

My Grandma Vincent passed away last night.

While we are all sad to see her go, I am also so so so happy for her because her body is free and she is with my sweet Grandpa.

Now more than ever I am so grateful that families are forever.

Kamas Kabin

We ended up going to the Kamas Kabin Friday night. Aar left a little early with Jake and Mary and I drove up after a baby shower in Eagle Mountain. PS please never live in Eagle Mountain, it's way to far away.

While I was at the shower these boys fished their little hearts out.
Happy as can be and loving the fire they built.
I brought yummy smore's up- coconut marshmallows, cookies and cream butter, Hershey's and grahams... yummmmm.

Side note this is what Mary and I look like when they fish all the time.
Luckily Mary and I headed to Kamas for some pizza and ice cream of course. We had the best shakes and they gave us a free pizza! Aaron loved not showering for a day and I wore my sweats just like I used to in college back in the day.

We headed home Saturday and spent the night with my mom, went to eat and played Blokus. It's been a crazy weekend, my grandma's health has been down and up and back down again for good. So we are just playing the waiting game which is sad.

On a happy note, we get the keys to our house this week! It doesn't feel real quite yet. We've got a lot of packing and cleaning to still do, but I'm secretly happy my family will be in town to help.

Packing. Traveling. Cleaning.

Packing. Traveling. Cleaning. Packing. Traveling. Cleaning. Packing. Traveling. Cleaning.

We are keeping busy around here. Aar and I are moving to our new house next weekend! We are starting to pack things up. Every time I move I remember how bad I am at packing. I'll put 3 things in a box and then move on to another room and just walk around aimlessly after that. It's bad. Good thing I have Aar around. We've been busy cleaning the apartment getting ready to move and sprucing it up for home showings.

Yesterday I had another quick biz trip to Denver. They are the worst. 6 am flights mean I wake up at 4:15. Travel then go for a short meeting then back to the airport. It wipes me out.

So glad I got to see my Grandma Vincent last week on her birthday. She's super sick now, so much so that my mom cancelled her trip to Boston today to fly out.
So it looks like things won't be slowing down anytime soon. And Aaron is heartbroken about the cabin with the heavy snow and family coming to town. He's been waiting for 6 months to go poor kid.

So. Utah Weekend

Every time we visit St. George, I wonder why we don't live there, or at least somewhere warm. There's something about the slower pace, warm weather and palm trees down there. And then Aaron reminds me... there's no jobs down there, and I quickly snap back to reality.

This past weekend was just what I needed. I had so much fun and can't wait to go back down to Southern Utah again.

We drove down to Cedar City Friday night and stopped by to see Aaron's siblings and the kiddos. They obviously love Aaron.
We also looked through some old scrapbooks and found this gem of Aaron at his sisters Pioneer themed wedding [insert laughing/crying emoji]
I have fallen in love with Zion National Park. We drove over for a quick hike to the Emerald Pools.

Finished the hike off with the biggest burgers on the planet and yummiest sweet potato fries!
Prettiest view! Thanks Oscar's!
Hanging out at the Karate Studio after Aaron spoke about Financial Planning. Oh hey Natalie!
Ended the night off at Pizza Factory with the yummiest breadsticks and pizza.

So much fun being with the Pugh's!
