Quick highlights of Amsterdam... more to come on Espana!
With the Delta direct from SLC>Amsterdam, we had a 10 hour layover, so we took that time to explore the city.
We got in early while the city was still waking and walked the quiet, cold streets of the capital.
First stop: the stock exchange- DUH! :)
We wandered around the picturesque canals.
Gaped at the thousands of bikes & riders all over the city.
Settled at a small cafe to warm up for brunch.
Visited the IAMSTERDAM sign.
Were intrigued by all the cannabis.
Walked past Anne Frank's house.
Aaron was such a good sport and sweet the whole trip. The first few days- especially in Amsterdam My hips were realllll sore, so I was waddling and walking so slow, and he was so patient.
Quick memories:
*Getting on the wrong train back to the airport, and not realizing it til a half hour later :/
*Stroopwaffels from the airport- the carmel waffley goodness- we devoured them, wish we would have gotten more while actually in the city
*Forgetting how agressive drivers in Europe cities are to pedestrians
