Life has been busy busy busy lately. We didn't even get a chance to catch a break but at least this past week was full of fun things! Aaron works til 7 pm most days as a financial planner so that already fills our nights up since we don't have too much time together. That time is filled with working out, making dinner, folding laundry, doing dishes and then getting ready for bed. Since he works late, we were lucky to find out that the Bountiful temple has an 8:15 session. So we drove on up with Jake and Mary last week.
I haven't been to Top It for a bit, so I convinced Aaron that we needed to get some froyo. Thanks for the gift card Charlotte!
I am a huge Swig fan. I think I have been probably 4 times in the past two weeks. I try and stop by whenever I am down in Utah County. I'm bummed that there isn't one in the Salt Lake area, but I found the next best thing here in Holladay: Shiver's. I can get a strawberry puree vanilla Diet Coke, and I've been at least twice in the past week. Yummm!
A few months ago we signed up for the Color Run with Madi and Gavin. Unfortunately they weren't able to go with us, but we still had fun! The 5k was held downtown. They had 4 color stations set up throughout the course. So we would run through volunteers throwing the colored chalk at us. Aaron made it through the first two without getting anything on him with a little bit of dodging miraculously. By the time we got to the third one we were ahead of the pack, and the volunteers noticed he was unspotted and got him pretty good. They also had a big color throwing at the end of the race too!

One of my old roommates is getting married, so we got together and threw her a bachelorette shower, plus it's just a good excuse to get together. So we trekked down to Provo and threw a party.
Right after the bridal shower we went straight to another roommate's wedding reception. The location was in a beautiful backyard in East Millcreek. The yard had 2 tiers, the first was the back porch with a bean pool and hot tub. The second had stairs that came down to a fire pit, grill, and chairs, all under a canopy of trees. From the fire pit there were stairs that led down to the Millcreek River. It was such a pretty backyard. Aaron loved it, maybe one day that will be our backyard.
Aaron and Jake love going up Millcreek Canyon. So we ended the night with a campfire. It took about 45 minutes to get one going since it had rained the night before and most of the wood was wet, but once it started it was hard to put it out!
I can already tell Fall is coming with the chillier mornings and nights. I'm sad to see Summer go.... but you can bet we'll be out enjoying every little bit of it until Fall is in full swing.
