Hello Spring

I love that we are finally having a spring here in Salt Lake for once! The trees are blossoming everywhere in white and pink, it is gorgeous.

The past few days Aaron has been obsessed with watching a WWII documentary series on Netflix. In the past two days he has watched 8 hour long episodes! I was interested in the first few, but it's getting kind of old now, plus they have real footage and some of it is definitely stomach stirring and very very sad.

We had a fun night with Madi and Gavin ordering Cafe Rio, talking about our plans to one day build a cabin together and visiting with Ryann and Aaron.

Aaron jammed his pinky finger playing basketball on Saturday. His poor finger is purple all over and swollen.

We visited my grandparents and had a yummy lasagna dinner along with Becca and Spencer. Besides attending 4 funerals this week, my grandparents seem to be doing really well, I am so glad.

We find out the inspection results on our Midvale house, as long as everything checks out good we will be moving the end of April.

Shout out to my dad, it's his birthday, Happy Birthday!!

With such beautiful weather, we borrowed Jake and Mary's bikes and went on a bike ride. We took the bikes down to Parley's trail, and only lasted a bit, there are too many hills on that trail plus the bike seat was bothering Aaron and I am still sore from hard leg work outs from earlier in the week.

I had a dream that somehow Summer got skipped and Fall was next month, it was literally a nightmare. I am a Summer girl through and through.

So glad April starts this week.... wohoo!

Marchin' on

March has been so great so far. So many new an exciting things, warm weather and family and friends EVERY weekend.

Aaron's parents stayed with us over the weekend and completely spoiled us. We had Bruge's waffles Saturday morning(still on a sugar high) and sushi Saturday night.

While Aaron and his dad went fishing, I went shopping with my Mother-in-law Saturday afternoon. We visited Ikea and the Restaurant Supply store. Susanne was so sweet and wanted to buy me anything and everything I wanted. I felt bad, but she got me this darling lantern from Ikea and yummy drink flavorings for my soda addiction like huckleberry, hazelnut, vanilla and white chocolate. I'm already two for four and so far they are deeelish!

March Madness is in full swing which means Aar is watching b-ball nonstop. Every time I look over at him he's watching a game on his phone during church, family dinners, in the car, in bed... you get the picture.
The Store is right next to my office and I go there at least 3 times a week between grabbing a drink and bagel[donut], and treats for clients. I never even knew these mint sandwiches existed, and it's probably a good thing. The Store bakery is yum, I definitely recommend it.
Easter candy is my weakness! Mary and I were on a soda run and stopped by the Easter candy of course, and loved these funny little ears.
Aaron claims he hates dogs, but he is the cutest when we babysit our landlord's dog. He lets her ride in the car with him, brings her into the house, scratches and pets her all the time and even dances with her! Haha so cute.
We find out the test results on our Midvale house, which will help us determine if we are going to buy that house, or if we need to move on and purchase our fallback home in Sandy. I ask Aaron every day when we get the test results back since I'm so impatient. Can't wait to find out, but I know everything happens for a reason.

Neffs

Last night Aaron and I trekked up to Neffs Canyon. It's a small hiking trail canyon in the Olympus Cove, just south of Millcreek Canyon. Maybe I'm a wuss, but the beginning of the trail is prettttty steep, Aaron was dragging me up, but soon it leveled off.

Just after it leveled off we encountered S-N-O-W! Also encountered a monkey hanging from the tree.
Can't wait to come up in the summer with a fire! And no mud underneath the swing!
The way down the canyon was a little bit harder in the slippery snow. Like I mentioned before I'm a wuss so baby steps it was for me. At our stopping point it was so still, quiet and peaceful with the cool air and sunset behind us. Such a cool moment.

The past weekend we have been house hunting, and hunting and signing contracts and everything. We are under contract with a house in Midvale. The kitchen is gorgeous, white cabinets, granite countertops, wood floors, stainless steel appliance, big backyard and gorgeous. Crossing my fingers everything runs smoothly.

As Aaron said "Faith is believing in something will go correctly when you can't see how it will turn out... But if you have done your part and had 'good works' we are promised things will be fine..."

Viva Las Vegas

Well I did it. Went to my very first... NASCAR race and it is definitely an experience. First off, the stadium holds 105,000 people say what? The stadium was packed!
I went to the race for a Summit we put on for a client, and we were lucky enough to get Neon Garage passes so we got to go inside the track closer to the action, which was pretty neat! I couldn't believe how loud the cars were, but then again they are going 200+ miles an hour. You had to yell to talk to the person next to you. Next time I'm bringing ear plugs.
Vegas always has the coolest architecture and interior design. Lots of great ideas. A view from our restaurant one night.
 Hello Eiffel tower. Lookin great.
Saw the Bellagio Fountains 3 times, but always the best at night.
This shoe is just a tad too big. But look at the glass behind. It's actually a gigantic chandelier. Coolest thing ever, it's about 3 stories high, with a bar inside of it!
But really the weekend was busy full of meetings, preparation, AV difficulties, late night, early early mornings, the Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil{awesome}, beautiful sunny days, and me wishing I wasn't working so I could enjoy it more! Hopefully I can come back soon and really enjoy the time!
