Our lives have been going non-stop in August. Finally in September, we had a week to just
D E C O M P R E S S
We took a break from the Provo house, are continuing our loooooong break from the gym, and went down to good ol' H-town....
Aka Hurricane, Utah.
We went to Peach Days. Cutest little festival with tents set up everywhere, local vendors, contests all around the community center, or Aaron's old elementary school. Jake and Aaron gave Mary and I a tour around the school while reminiscing about recess, school lunch and backpacks.
Promise he was excited about it.
Helping my in-laws clean up their First Aid First Peach Days Booth. So glad we were there to help, it would have taken them forever. Plus we got to see the fireworks and the weather was perfect.
In between helping out with Peach Days, we trekked up to Toquerville Falls. Although it's about a 30 minute drive on a rocky dirt road, and the water was fffffreeezing, we still had fun!
I wish the water was a bit deeper though so we could jump off the cliffs and into the water.
It was so funny to see another group of twentysomethings that looked like the only reason they were there was for the GoPro footage.... haha
Charming Charlie's I <3 you!
I have absolutely fallen in love with Zion National Park, so I jump at any chance to go there.
We headed up to tackle Angel's Landing with Jake, Mary, Spence and Lexi.
I don't know if it was all the people, heights, or anxiety but I had a complete breakdown on the chain section of the hike.
Like completely stopped in the middle of the sheer rock crying, while other hikers maneuvered around me. It was bad. So sweet Aaron(who has been on this hike hundreds of times, and could do it with his eyes closed) turned around with me and waited out Scout Landing until the rest of our group was done.
^Before the breakdownI think the older I get, the more of a wuss I am becoming. It's funny cause Aaron and I both brought up the fact I've done this hike before.
Maybe I was running on adrenaline before.
Maybe I was still trying to impress Aaron.
Maybe it was the fact I hadn't done it before.
Not sure what got me this time. But I plan to conquer it again one day!
Work has been crazy busy. Poor Aaron has been pretty good putting up with me when I come home from work a complete stress ball almost every day. We went to visit Strangling Brother's Haunted Circus their opening night to make sure everything was running smoothly that my agency had planned.
September's a bit early for Halloween activities for me, but we still had fun.
Speaking of Halloween, it's never too early for candy corn. Bought the candy Saturday night, and it's already almost gone :/
The mountains are killing it too!
The leaves are just starting to change. The weather is still plenty warm, so we ventured up Neff's Canyon to enjoy these last few weeks of warmth!
Here's to another busy week!
